- Cabinet backs reforms to raise teachers' professional standing
The Queensland government is to implement all 84 recommendations of an independent review of the Board of Teacher Registration by Professor Marilyn McMeniman of Griffith University.This media statement provides an overview of the recommendations. Redesigning Pedagogy is a conference for teachers, teacher educators and educational researchers on the new arts and sciences of teaching. This conference features leading researchers and educators in a broad range of curricular fields such as language and literacy education, mathematics and science education, information technology and multi-literacies. It is the first international forum for the presentation of findings from the educational research being undertaken at Singapore's Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, the largest research unit in the Asia-Pacific.Dates: 30 May to 1 June 2005

Smartplay is a South Australian initiative to educate children playing sport to "warm up, gear up and drink up". Includes information on stetching exercises, nutrition, sports injuries and more.
- Australian Children's Music Foundation
Founded by Don Spencer, the ACMF was launched in July 2003. Its mission is to use "the power of music to inspire and empower Australian children". The current website is the first stage in a two-part development of an interactive, educational tool for primary children as well as a teaching tool for teachers and parents.
The second stage will include a "fully operational, comprehensive, efficient, user-friendly online library of Australian children's music".
