A Smithsonian site focused on the link between kids' play and science.
- Kids Design Network (KDN)
DuPage Children's Museum (IL) site where kids play engineer (designer, not choo-choo).
- FEMA For Kids
The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency maintains this site
to teach kids about natural disasters and disaster relief resources.
Here, students can download coloring pages, play interactive
games online, or read stories. The site includes a list of online
safety rules for kids, as well as lesson plans, guidebooks, mailing
lists, and related links for teachers and parents.
- SafeKids.Com
SafeKids.com is one-stop resource for everything parents and teachers
need to know about keeping kids safe online. The site includes
articles on child safety, reviews of filtering software and filtered
ISPs, online rules for children, and guidelines for adults.
- Education Virtual Library
Part of the WWW Virtual Library, this site
maintained at Charles Sturt University is a comprehensive index of educational resources on the Web.
