- AustLit Australian literature database. The Children's Literature subset provides information about Australian writing for children and young adults, and about those who write for them.
- The Source A guide by subject to children's fiction, poetry and short stories from around the world with an emphasis on Australian books. The site also provides an index to Magpies and The Literature Base.
- Australian authors of fiction for teenagers N.B. See the comments at the beginning.
- Australian Centre for Youth Literature at the State Library of Victoria is "nationally and internationally recognised as the catalyst for creating the readers and writers of the future through the promotion of Australian and other literature for and by young people."

The Picture Book of the Year Award was established in 1952. Winners and shortlists are available here. | Alternative source- Hans Christian Andersen Medals Awarded every two years to one author and one illustrator in recognition of his or her entire body of work
- Caldecott Medal Presented annually to the illustrator of the most distinguished American picture book for children published in the United States in the preceding year
