EndNote and Word
EndNote interacts with Microsoft Word to allow you to insert in-text citations, e.g. (Brown, 2002, p.34) or footnotes into the body of your document. When in-text citations are created, a matching bibliography entry appears at the end of your document, formatted in the style you have specified, e.g. Harvard, MLA, APA, etc..
When EndNote is installed, a toolbar will appear in Word. This is called the Cite While You Write toolbar. Using this toolbar you can insert, edit and manipulate in-text citations and bibliography entries. Click here for a full description of all the functions on the Cite While You Write toolbar.
