Please read before Creating a Data CD

We have found that High Speed Recordable CD's and some Multi-Speed Recordable CD's are not compatible with the CD burners that are in the GATCF Labs. We would suggest that you purchase 2x-4x Speed CD's.

When you have creating and recorded a DATA CD you can only add more files or documents using The DATA CD option of the Easy CD Creator Program. You CANNOT use this CD with other Easy CD Creator Programs.

If you are using a CD-RW to make a DATA CD, the DATA CD Easy CD Creator Program WILL NOT allow you to delete files from your CD. The only way to delete this Data is to re-format your CD-RW via the DIRECTCD Easy CD Creator Program.

When you are copying from a CD to CD or from multiple floppy disks to CD you need to place the relevant files or documents on the ZipShare (D:\) or your Homes drive (I:\) then copy those files from these drives to your CD Layout (shown in this document).

InfoHelp suggests to keep these few points in mind when using this Program.

When you insert a blank CD into the computer, the Easy CD Creator 5 should automatically open up. If not please click on the "Create CD" Icon.

  • Roll over the make a data CD button:

  • select the dataCD button from Easy CD Creator 5 Window,

At this point the Easy CD Creator Window should appear.

  • Select the data file or folder you want to record (from the Explorer section), and then click Add. Repeat until the Data CD Layout contains all of the files and folders that you want to record,

  • Click the record button.

  • Click Start Recording.

The system now checks the Data Transfer Rate from whatever drive you have the data coming from.(As shown below.)

  • Click OK

The Record CD Progress window will start recording the files you have selected.

Once you have finished with your CD click No to Save CD Project changes

NOTE: If you want to make multiple copies of this CD you can use CD Copier.
