InfoCommons PCs
There are currently 4 printers available for all InfoCommons lab computers in the Library (approx 130 PCs). They are located on the top floor, in the InfoCommons - western and eastern labs, the 1st floor opposite the InfoHelp desk and the ground floor outside the Copying Services office. The computers on the top floor in the East and West InfoCommons and the InfoCommons lab PCs located on the 1st floor print to these printers.

**VERY IMPORTANT! Please ensure you follow these instructions carefully**
- To print a page that is currently visible in your browser or software application window (e.g. MS Word or Adobe Acrobat) select Print from the browser/software application File menu. See the Labprint instructions below.
- Make sure you have selected the correct printer. The InfoCommons printer appears in the print dialogue box as \\portalprint2\labprint.
Tropicat PCs
There are 20 Tropicat PCs located on the 1st floor near the InfoHelp desk in the Douglas Library building. These PCs do not have Microsoft Office applications installed on them. Please use an InfoCommons PC for editing, saving and printing documents from MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Printing from these workstations can ONLY be collected from Lending Services (ground floor). Payment is via Copy Card only. Please note the Tropicat number (e.g. Tropicat 16) to identify your print job and collect your printing promptly. Print jobs only remain in the print queue until the beginning of the next working day (e.g. 8am the following week day or 1pm on weekends).
- Charges are 11c per page for single-sided printing (inc. GST).
- Double-sided (duplex) printing is not available from these workstations.
LabPrint
The Labprint system relies on the students having a "paid credit" value in their ePouch. Students can add cash credit at a Cashier's Point (Admin or Lending Services) or via the online credit card function available through StudentsOnline ($20 minimum payment). Printing charges are 10c (1-side) and 16 (2-sided/duplex). GST is deducted when credit is added to your ePouch Students can only release jobs to the printer from the Print Release station next to the printer. At the Print Release Station, login with your JCU username and password. The next screen displays all print jobs you have sent to the printer. Select Print to send the job to the printer displayed or Delete to remove the job from the queue. Check out the InfoHelp guide to LabPrint for more details. Printing Tips
