Freely available onsite facilities and services include:
- online catalogue
- JCU webpages
- JCU ePrints - research publications produced by JCU staff and post-graduate students
- directional and simple reference enquiries are available
- extensive reference collection
- print and electronic collections of books, journals, microforms and audiovisual resources
- Australian Bureau of Statistics publications and census data
- selected Commonwealth and Queensland publications including statutes and parliamentary materials
- library instructional programs and printed subject and user guides including family history
- electronic resources may be available on a mediated and needs basis, subject to licence conditions
- North Qld archives and special collections including 40,000+ picture archives (by arrangement)
- study facilities may be utilised
- school group visits (Library Services for Schools)
Library borrower membership is available to members of the community and may be subject to a fee. For more information see Borrowing or contact Lending Services (phone 4781 6870).
Other fee-based services available are photocopying, interlibrary loans and binding. Details are available on request.
