North Queensland Conservation Council
The North Queensland Conservation Council is a voluntary organisation which began in 1975. Unit August 1992, NQCC was located at 477 Flinders Street, Townsville. The latest (1995) site for its Environment Centre and Bower Bird Bookshop is on the second floor at 340 Flinders Mall. The council puts out a newsletter called "Conservation North Queensland" and holds various fundraising activities as well as actively promoting N.Q. Conservation issues. This collection is small, however, there may be some matters of interest to researchers within these files.
