Townsville Baptist Church
The foundation meeting for the Baptist Church in Townsville was held on 27 January 1888. The first Baptist services were conducted on Sunday 29 January 1888 by the Reverand T. Vigis of Charters Towers. A Congregational church building was purchased, rebuilt on Baptist gound and opened for services in November 1893.
These records span the years 1888 to 1976 and were presented by Mr.Neville Cowley, Church Elder, in 1982.
