to a report of a case looks like this: | |
| (a) | Names of the parties involved in the case. The first name is the name of the person, company, or other legal body bringing the action. The v is the shortened form of "versus" meaning against. |
| (b) | A year and/or volume number. |
| (c) | An abbreviation of the name of the law report series in which the case is reported. |
| (d) | A page number. |
