  Overview of the Web: Introduction
   
 

The web contains countless electronic documents stored on computers (servers) around the world. These computers are linked to each other via telephone or other communication networks.

The web is unique because of the way it combines accessibility, multimedia content and hypertext links.

After completing this section of the module, you will:

  • Have an understanding of the structure and attributes of the web
  • Be able to use web search tools
  • Be able to identify different types of web sites
