What Is Citation Linker?

Citation Linker uses the details of an article you know exists to search JCU Library's electronic holdings to retrieve the item. If there are no links to electronic holdings check the Tropicat link - we may have the journal in print or only recently acquired it electronically.

Citation Linker Tips

  • Citation Linker may find more than one journal that matches your search - click the 'Go' button on the one you want
  • You can use the ISSN field instead of the Journal Title field
  • The amount of information, and the journal publisher's system, determine what Citation Linker presents you with first, you may see either:
    • The article
    • A citation & abstract with a link to the article
    • The table of contents for the issue of the journal you want
    • A list of issues for the year of the journal you want
    • The home page for the journal with links to the volumes/years available

In all but the first case you will have to navigate to the article you want.

  • Article title and author are not necessary in most cases
