Journal Indexes in PrintIndexes in print are no longer produced and current holdings are dated. Indexes marked * are available online from the databases page (see below) and are regularly updated. Many of these indexes have not been updated since 2000 or earlier. For current information, please use the electronic databases listed below and available from the Databases page..
CD-ROM DatabasesSome journal indexing and abstracting publications can be searched using CD-ROM. The CD-ROM service is free and operates on a self-service basis. Please ask at InfoHelp for details. NOTE: These discs are no longer current, but may be used, for example, if the Internet is not available. Internet Database ServicesMany journal indexing and abstracting services are available via the Internet. Some services also provide the full text of journal articles. Certain databases may require passwords, which can be obtained from InfoHelp on presentation of your student card, or can be sent to your JCU email address. Electronic JournalsMost full text electronic journals subscribed to by the library
are listed in Tropicat. An alphabetical
list of ejournals is also available. Access may be by individual
title, or by service provider, e.g. Infotrac. If an appropriate
journal title is unknown, it is recommended that some of the listed
databases be searched for appropriate journal articles. Please contact
