FAMILY
(Australian Family & Society Abstracts
Database) - Produced by the Australian Institute
of Family Studies, FAMILY is a bibliographic
database that indexes material on research,
policy and practice issues about, or of relevance
to, Australian families. This includes areas
such as: children, youth, the aged, marriage,
divorce, adoption, foster care, counselling
and therapy, unemployment, family law, health,
housing, social change, social issues, social
and community services. The Family
Thesaurus is a useful guide to the terms
used for indexing and retrieving information
in the FAMILY database.

(Health & Society Database) - Produced
by the Australian Institute of Family Studies,
covers all aspects of family health, and is
a subset of the FAMILY database.
APAIS
(Australian Public Affairs Information Service)
- Indexes a wide range of periodicals, newspapers,
scholarly journals, conference papers and books
from the areas of current affairs, economics,
humanities, law, literature, politics and social
sciences.
APAIS-Health - Is a subset of APAIS. It
focuses on items of relevance to the health
industry, including community attitudes to health
issues in Australia.

Diotima:
Materials for the study of Women and Gender in the Ancient
World - Diotima serves as an interdisciplinary
resource for anyone interested in patterns of gender around
the ancient Mediterranean and as a forum for collaboration
among instructors who teach courses about women and gender
in the ancient world. It includes course materials, the
beginnings of a systematic and searchable bibliography (with
an emphasis on recent work), and links to many on-line articles,

with the UN Development Programme. This database contains
