- ProQuest 5000
ProQuest 5000 provides access to a number of index and full text databases including ProQuest Education Complete, Social Science Plus, ABI/INFORM Global, Applied Science & Technology Plus, General Science Plus, ProQuest Computing, ProQuest Medical Library. About half of the journal and newspaper titles provide full text; citations date from 1971 forward; full-text backfiles date from as early as 1987 forward. (Actual dates vary for each title.) Published quarterly articles on both Old and New World archaeology are written by a variety of archaeologists, journalists, and other investigators, aimed at a general audience with readership in a number of countries. Each issue combines fully-illustrated feature articles on selected major archaeological regions with coverage of recent finds, plus reviews of books, videos, and internet sites. The website at www.athenapub.com, free to all, provides on-line articles from each issue along with a growing image archive with photos, maps, and site plans.

Anthropologist Alice Fletcher lived with Dakota Sioux women on reservations in Nebraska and South Dakota for six weeks in the fall of 1881 and recorded her experiences in two journals.

A weekly current awareness service (updates each Monday) provides a listing of Australian journals, articles by Australians in international journals and statistical publications which have been selected for inclusion in the Institute's database 'Australian Family & Society Abstracts' (FAMILY). The FAMILY database can be accessed via Informit Online from the Electronic Databases link on the Library & Computing Services page.

A peer-reviewed full-text electronic journal that collates and distributes original material on disaster and trauma studies within Australian, New Zealand and the Pacific rim. It is funded by Massey University in New Zealand. Coverage includes disaster and trauma mitigation and prevention, response, support, recovery, treatment, policy formulation and planning and their implications at the individual, group, organisational and community level.
