If you are off campus using your own internet service provider you have to enable remote access before you can use JCU subscribed resources.

Business Focus is a current awareness and resource finding blog maintained by the Liaison Librarians for the School of Business. It's a great way of discovering new resources and keeping up to date on JCU Library issues that effect your studies.

Databases

  • ABI Inform Global - key international business and management database. Analyses your search and suggests alternatives and identifies key journals for browsing. Available online via Proquest
  • Butler Group - provides a fulltext portfolio of information technology research aimed at the needs of all levels of executive, from IT professionals to senior managers and board directors. Focusses on the impact of IT has on business, from product purchase decisions to developing effective high-level strategy. They range from the visionary - looking up to five years ahead - to the current practical use of technology. Password required. Contact InfoHelp.
  • DatAnalysis - provides reports for all companies listed on the ASX and other financial information. The Company Reports section provides comprehensive data for all ASX listed companies. These reports are updated daily from relevant ASX announcements and include details about each company such as a Business Summary, Directors & Management, Company History, Listing Details, Operational History, Takeovers, Capital Table, and Complete Annual Reports. A reporting tool allows you to create your own reports from the database to print or download.
  • Emerald intelligence +fulltext - features niche management disciplines including strategy, change management, and international marketing. Provides access to the fulltext of over 150 management journals in the MCB stable - strong European focus. Available via Emerald intelligence + fulltext (Online)
  • Expanded Academic ASAP - provides citations, abstracts and for many journals the full-text of articles; significant coverage in the area of tourism. Available via InfoTrac.
  • IngentaConnect - a large database covering the humanities and social sciences with links to fulltext where a subscription exists, allows payment for ordering of articles. Available via Ingenta Connect.
  • Proquest - a major collection of online databases with full text articles from over 3000 journals, it has a business focus but includes resources from many other subject areas including education, medicine, computing, telecommunications, science and social science.
  • SpringerLink - a large ejournal publisher provides a search across their stable of publications. Articles available electronically through subscription are marked. Available through SpringerLink.
  • AIMMAT AIM Management And Training - covers all aspects of management, training and human resources, including organisational change, workplace relations, business ethics, customer service marketing and leadership. Mostly Australian journals are indexed with some titles from New Zealand and South East Asia included. Available through Informit.
  • MEDGE Management Edge- indexes and abstracts articles on management issues for business and government; including international economies, the Australian economy, strategic and financial management, TQM, human resources, marketing, materials handling, innovation; and environmental management, such as recycling and litter control.

E-Books
