    a major source of references to the life science journal literature (use BIOSIS Previews for 2002+)
  • Current Contents Connect
    multidisciplinary current awareness service for over 8,000 journals and more than 2,000 books
  • Geobase information for development studies, the Earth sciences, ecology, geomechanics, human geography, and oceanography
  • GeoRef (via GeoScienceWorld) provides abstracts to the geoscience literature of the world.
  • Informit
    provides a number of Australian research databases including Endanger and Streamline.
  • IngentaConnect
    provides book and journal article searches as well as search alerting and tables of contents services.
  • INIS
    International Nuclear Information System of the International Atomic Energy Agency, is the world’s leading information system on the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology. INIS covers central areas such as nuclear reactors, reactor safety, nuclear fusion, applications of radiation and radioisotopes in medicine, agriculture, industry and pest control as well as related fields such as nuclear chemistry, nuclear physics and materials science.
  • Oceanic Abstracts
    focuses on marine biology and physical oceanography, meteorology and environmental, technological and legislative topics.
  • SciFinder Scholar Primarily a chemistry database, but with significant coverage of the life sciences.
  • Web of Science
    Access to Science Citation Index Expanded and other citation indexes. As well as topic searching for journal articles, the
    citation indexes allow "cited reference" searching and enable you to examine a document's historical origin and follow through to its current position in the research literature

  • InfoTrac
    indexes over 2,000 journals with full-text articles from over half available online.
  • Proquest 5000
    includes ProQuest Science Journals and other databases covering a range of disciplines.
  • ScienceDirect
    Full text for around 290 of the 1700 titles, with contents pages and abstracts for the remainder.
  • Wiley InterScience
    provides full-text of all 311 Wiley journals back to 1997
